Direct messages and groups
For when a whole space is too much: one person, or a group of up to 25.
Direct messages
Message one person. Reactions, files, GIFs and voice notes all work, and the Call button starts a call with them.
You can message people you share a space with, and your contacts. A stranger cannot message you.
Groups
- In your messages, choose New group.
- Pick who is in it: up to 25 people, you included. You can add friends and people you share a space with.
- Press Start group.
A group has a chat and a call button, like a small space with no setup.
When a group outgrows itself
Choose Make it a space. It gets channels, roles and a place in your spaces. The chat and everyone in it stay.
Leaving
Leave the group takes you out of it.
