What we ask for when you sign up

A username.
An email. We send one link to confirm it, and you have 7 days to click it.
A password.
Your date of birth. It is never shown to other people.

That is the whole form. You are in right away.

What we do not ask for

No government ID.
No face scan, no selfie, no video of you.
No phone number.
No real name. Your username is yours to choose.

Not to join a space, not to chat, not to be in a call.

Why a date of birth

You must be 13 or older to use MySquare, or older where the law where you live requires it. The date of birth is how we ask. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we close it.

The one place an ID can come up

MySquare runs on a platform that also has workspaces for businesses. If you join a company’s workspace and sign a contract there, that company can ask you to confirm who you are for the contract. That is between you and that company, for that document. It never applies to joining a space, chatting or calling.

Not even an account

To just talk, you do not need to sign up at all. Start a voice room and send the link: no account for you, none for your friends.

No account. 45 minutes, up to 5 people. Or create your space and keep it.

What do I need to sign up?

A username, an email, a password and your date of birth. That is all.

Do you ask for a phone number?

No. You can add one to your own profile later if you want to; nothing needs it.
